Starting today, whenever you ask for the METAR enroute from A to B, you’ll also get a link to map showing you very useful info.

(The later is a good example of a great difference between the straight -projection- line and the orthodromic line)
The orthodromic (great circle) is the line we use to calculate the distance and true course.
